I joined Furbish’s Stewardship Department in the Fall of 2018. I first learned about the firm a couple of years prior when I was a Community Garden Intern for Sierra Club and was immersed in Baltimore City’s robust sustainability scene. That meeting left an impression on me. I was then and still am drawn to Furbish’s distinct culture, and genuine commitment to its products and services. My professional background includes experiences managing a small, solar-powered landscaping company, working on urban farms in Washington DC, and managing utility data/analytics to improve building performance for clients across the country. I am most happy when I am working with my hands and making operational decisions with my head. By working on Furbish’s expanding living roof portfolio, I get the satisfaction of keeping my hands busy while supporting the firm’s business functions, with the ultimate mission of creating a positive environmental impact. People, Planet, Profit: I don’t think it gets any better than that! When I am not at work, I am usually reading a book, exploring one of DC’s many hiking trails, or searching for aggressively spicy Asian food.
Favorite Sport: Soccer. Specifically EPL.
Favorite Food: Dim Sum
If I Retired Tomorrow: I want to say I would travel the world, but I would most likely be found at my farm homestead growing food for the people.
