Furbish provides Furnish, Install, Maintenance services for living roofs, living walls, and other ecological building systems. We have developed the branded products – EcoCline living roofs, BioWall vertical walls, SmartSlope vegetated retaining walls. The predominance of our work is competitively-bid, fixedprice contract work on new commercial construction. The firm is approximately $7M in annual revenue with gross margins of 35% approximately. The majority of the firm’s business is greenroof related. We are poised for growth that should double or triple the size of the firm through industry alliances and geographic expansion. We are relationship driven and believe great customer experience builds loyalty and more detailed dialogue when trying to close deals.

The office administrator is an integral part of our commitment to remarkable customer experience. This role requires an upbeat, professional and organized individual to take ownership of the ongoing daily functions that keep the office operations running smoothly. The office administrator must be punctual, reliable, self-initiating, strong communicator, and customer service oriented.

  • Greets guests, customers, and all parties with a cheerful and enthusiastic nature; determine nature of visit and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Answers all incoming calls to the main office line, providing excellent customer service and
    making every effort to answer questions, resolve any issues, or connect the call to the correctinternal party.
  • Receives mail/deliveries and distribute to the appropriate individual or department.
  • Coordinates pickup and delivery of outgoing mail/packages.
  • Documents and distributes building access code and keys to appropriate recipients.
  • Fields requests from building tenants as necessary.
  • Assists with vehicle tracking to include, but not limited to, EZ pass transponders, scheduled maintenance, DOT compliance, GPS monitoring and reporting.
  • Overseas office appearance.
  • Orders office supplies with the proper approval.
  • Assists with filing, copying, scanning, and data entry as needed.
  • Assists all departments for special or miscellaneous projects as needed.
  • Work hours are Tuesday and Thursday, 8:00am-4:30pm; and Fridays 1:00pm-5:00pm.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Reliable and Punctual.
  • Customer service experience required. Ability to manage a high volume of customers. Must
  • practice and maintain high customer service standards.
  • Professional, customer-focused communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook. Knowledge of QuickBooks a plus.
  • Working knowledge of excel.
  • Ability to manage priorities, detail-oriented, pro-active nature, strong organizational skills, bias towards action.
  • Ability to self-learn additional functionality when needed is expected.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
